2016 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Louis Riel Library, 1168 Dakota St. from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, concerns or ideas, this would be the place to share them.
We do have a couple of seats open on the Board. We need a Treasurer that knows Quickbooks Online plus we are looking for a Marketing Director.
Nominations can be sent to board@winnipeglostdogalert.com Deadline for nominations will be Sunday, August 21, 2016 at midnight. Once we receive a nomination, we will contact that person with the job description and confirm that they are interest. We will have this person voted in at our AGM by our members.

PAWS FROM A PLANE!!

WOW! There is a wonderful person by the name of Kerissa from Peaceful Paws Animal Reiki, that will be doing an unthinkable thing! She is going to jump from a plane FOR THE FIRST TIME! to raise money for Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert and Craig Street Cats on Saturday, September 26, 2015!
This is such an awesome idea! Not only to jump out of a plane for the first time but to want to donate to us and Craig Street Cats!

Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert’s 2015 Awareness Event

Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert’s 3rd Annual Awareness Event
On Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Avenue, from 11am – 3pm
This is a dog friend event. Owners are responsible for their dogs. Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert will not be liable if your dog has caused any damage to property or persons at this event.
Here is the list of attending vendors and a description of what they do and will be offering at our event.
Animal Services Agency – license your dog or cat
Canadian Animal Blood Bank – The Canadian Animal Blood Bank is a not for profit organization supported by the 
Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association and 
Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The organization is dedicated to improving veterinary care by providing blood products for animals who require transfusion therapy as part of their care.
Chia’s Pets – A non-profit pet store helping Manitoba rescues raise funds so they can focus on saving lives.
Far East Henna – Temporary Exotic Body Art Tattoo
Huson Reykdal Veterinary Services – Mobile Clinic offering on site dog microchipping.
Muddy Water Tours with Kristen Verin-Treusch – Take your dog for a walk and be entertained while learning about Winnipeg’s controversial and haunted past.
Peaceful Paws Animal Reiki with Kerissa Cymbaluk – Teaches and demonstrates Reiki for dogs
Petsecure – Lost Pet Advertising – All Plans: If Your Pet is stolen or goes missing, We will pay for the cost of advertising and reward money. You must report Your Pet missing with at least one appropriate agency in Your area (for example: local shelter, humane society or municipal animal services agency). Coverage is limited to the Maximum Payable amount of $1000. This Coverage has no Co-insurance or Deductible.
Pet Valu – on site ID tag engravings and selling pet products
Planet Pup Earth Natural Doggy Bakery – Our unique artisan biscuits,treats and cakes are all created from our own original recipes using a combination of fresh, organic and natural whole food ingredients as well as locally sourced made in Manitoba products.
Riplees Ranch – A premium, all natural, pet food company producing a complete line of holistic foods of the highest quality for cats and dogs.
Scoopy Doo Canine Waste Removal Inc. – We are a pet waste removal service for Winnipeg pet owners. We offer year-round, weekly scheduled clean up and one-time clean up.
Shadow’s Mission – selling custom made dog beds where the proceeds to to helping build beds and dog houses for Northern communities
The Little Dog House – a cozy, homey place where small dogs can come for daycare, training, socialization, play, and lots of fun, mixing safely with dogs of their own size.
Valerie’s Homemade Dog Beds – The softest, and most pillowy dog beds in a variety of colours and patterns, with all proceeds going to WLDA.
